About this house rental
On the quiet east side of Naxos we rent four cottages built in the traditional way of natural stone for 2-4 persons each. Here you can relax and unwind and immerse yourself in the Greek way of life. Each cottage, with a total of 60 square meters, has its own veranda with a magnificent view of the Aegean Sea. The house is divided with a curtain into a sleeping area with a double bed and a living area with kitchenette, natural stone fireplace and pull-out sofa bed; the bathroom is furnished with marble tiles and shower. Between the houses lies an additional shared kitchen with wood stove and an electrical stove with oven. There is a washing machine that can be used by guests. You can spend the hot hours of the day in a vine-covered, shady pergola; in the evenings you can enjoy the magnificent starry sky of the Aegean. The Meltemi North winds, which blow almost constantly in summer, usually keep the temperatures relatively low. At the beach directly in front of the property or at one of the many other beaches in the area you can have a refreshing swim and enjoy the water and the sun.
The cottages are located on a property of 7000 square meters with vineyards, olive trees and vegetable gardens, from which we are happy to provide our guests with our organically grown vegetables and fruits, depending on the possibilities of the season; you can also taste our homemade delicious wine.
Directly in front of the property lies a small, very clean and quiet sandy beach, where you can also enjoy snorkeling and discover the diverse underwater world of the Aegean sea.
If you like hiking, you can explore the diverse, charming island of Naxos on many old paths and visit numerous interesting sights. We will be happy to help you with information about the history, archaeology, folklore, geology and the fauna and flora of the island. Let yourself be enchanted by the beautiful island of Dionysus!

I’m sitting here at home with a smile on my face as I recall the few days we spent at this lovely home, because it is a home, Astrid’s home, her family’s home and they welcome you to share it. Words cannot describe the peacefulness of the place. It is so quiet and beautiful. I would sit up at night looking up at the multitude of stars with only the sound of the lapping of the waves or perhaps the quiet conversation of another family staying in one of the four guest cottages. As the morning sun rises it shines into your windows casting a beautiful glow on everything. It is magical. It is peaceful. It is heaven. If you want a big TV on the wall… go somewhere else. There is AC but the fans provide a lovely flow of air along with the ocean breeze. I suggest stopping in Chora for some breakfast and perhaps lunch groceries. Astrid provides a small fridge and pour over coffee maker as well as a stove top espresso maker so you can enjoy coffee before your morning swim, just a short walk down the dirt road. Moutsouna is about 2 kilometers away with a few tavernas along the harbor for a nice dinner. Apanemi was our favorite for food and service.

We were looking for a remote area, not full of tourists and this place nailed it. The stone buildings were beautiful and the views were phenomenal. You’re right on a small cliff with access to the water, which is crystal clear. Beautiful sunrises daily. The real gems were the hosts! They delivered fresh strawberries, vegetables and eggs on our patio daily. They also provided us with homemade wine. The best part….on our last night they invited us to their house (along with a few other guests) for a home cooked goat and potatoes meal. WOW. IT WAS DELICIOUS. I can’t say enough about this place and the hosts. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for something away from tourists with beautiful surroundings and quiet accommodations.

My partner and I moved from busy accommodation on the other side of the island in search of peace and quiet, we found it at Azalas cottages. Astrid and Nikos are very warm and welcoming hosts, the oven warm loaf of bread and homemade wine was an immediate sign of their dedication to ensuring their guests enjoy their stay. We are already planning to visit next year and enjoy our private cove..

We had a wonderful week at Azalas - stunning views, lovely little beach and close to fab Moutsouna village - great tavernas and town beach - a little tucked away gem. Amazing to be away from it all in Greece in the middle of August.
