The bedrooms consist of a king-size with en-suite shower room and two doubles serviced by a bathroom and cloakroom. Outside there is off-road parking for five cars, a front garden with lawn and a rear patio. Within 2.1 miles there is a shop and 1.3 miles a pub. Highchair, travel cot and stairgate available on request. Two well-behaved dogs welcome, but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. We arrived after a five hour drive to find there was one dishwasher tablet, one teabag, one toilet roll in each toilet, no salt in the salt cellar and what looked liked a carefully measured one cm in each hand wash and washing up liquid pump. And nothing much else. It would have cost £20 to top all that up but I guess their fear of us nicking a loo roll or something else superseeded any need to make us feel welcome. Surprising and disappointing for Sykes.
