About this apartment rental
Enjoy a relaxing stay in our bright vintage studio full of natural light. We are steps away from Lake Merritt and Grand Lake Avenue. Close to many restaurants, grocery stores, cafes, and a short commute to SF. Tourists, business travelers, couples, and furry friends will love it here. With a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom and ample storage, we hope you have a great stay and feel free to contact us!

The unit consists of 3 total rooms

-Pans, pots and some condiments and oils
-Dining table - 30-inch round dining table
Living Area
- Full-size bed
- Projector with firestick
-Desk - 40-inch work desk
Closet:
-Portable fan
-Iron, iron boards, hangers, and an extra blanket
Bathroom
-Toiletry essentials: towels, hand soap, body wash, shampoo and hair dryer
Pets - Pets are allowed. There is a $100 nonrefundable pet deposit.
Wifi - Enjoy free wifi
(Wifi may be shared with other units. Please note that only the internet provider can ensure that wifi will be up all the time. Please be advised That the ACTUAL SPEED/Connection that a guest might experience while using the Internet depends upon a variety of conditions, many of which are beyond our control.)
Lock Box Check-In - 3 PM- 10 PM, Checkout 11 AM. There is a late check-out penalty of $50 each hour. If the late check-out extends into the next reservation, you will have to pay the full reservation amount.
Access - This unit has a separate entrance and is unlocked by a keypad code. We will send you the code 1 day prior to your check-in. To lock the unit door, press the # button until the speaker indicates the door is locked.
Laundry - There is coin-operated laundry 25 cents for drying and 75 cents for washing down in the basement
Parking - Street parking is 2 hrs maximum only on weekdays between 8 am-6 pm and free on weekends. There is paid street parking in the immediate few blocks, see the map in the guest manual. You can purchase a car hanging tag from us for $5/day which will allow you to park in the paid area but must return the tag to us upon checkout. Failure to return the tag will cost an additional $30. Please notify us of your intentions to park in advance so we can prepare the hang tag as we may need to obtain it from the City of Oakland. There is street cleaning on the even-number side of the street: 2nd and 4th Mon from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM and street cleaning on the odd-number side of the street: 2nd and 4th Tues from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. Please check the signs and park accordingly.
Mail - Packages can be delivered but hosts give no warranty to security as most delivery companies drop the packages off in the porch area which isn't secured.
If you need to check in early or check out late, we suggest booking an additional night on the front end or back end of your stay. This will allow you to check in as early or check out as late as you need to accommodate your travel plans.
If you believe there is any chance you might not be able to make your trip, Travel Insurance should always be considered, unless you have other protection in place. As hosts, we are not travel insurance providers and unfortunately cannot protect your travel plans from unexpected circumstances.
**Please also ensure that you have reviewed our cancellation policy when you submit your booking. Unfortunately, VRBO automatically enforces this policy and we are unable to grant exceptions or refunds outside of the policy**

Drawbacks to the property - If any of the below are deal breakers, please consider other properties as many of these items are out of our control
- Noise - There will be street noise as this is a vibrant area in Oakland. The building is old and you may hear footsteps from above, noises from the water running, the refrigerator, the central heating system, the laundry machine, etc. We will provide earplugs. However, if you are highly noise-sensitive please consider booking elsewhere.
- Heating - there is central heating but it isn't great so we provide electric heaters as well
- Windows - We have old wood windows with locks but they do not have screens
