The atmosphere, location and staff were amazing. I was on a mother and daughter break and it was perfect. Location was up a hill but great cafes around and everything is only a 15minwalk. Great value for money. Basic but what more do you need for a city break.
I didn’t mind it but it’s very basic so when it says hostel it means a hostel! We had a double room.

Fabulous staff; friendly, polite, professional and very approachable.
All staff I interacted with (three staff members) were all bilingual, which was wonderful, as I am still learning French!
Rooms are basic, but given the the costs, it was very much value for money - I was travelling out of season, so this may change come the warmer seasons.
Fabulous breakfast too!!! I had breakfast included within my stay, and most definitely a wise decision, as the food was wonderful and value for money!
Unfortunately the luggage/storage room's main door was not lockable/secure, and the individual internal lockers within the room where not working, which was a concern, as I needed a place to hold my luggage after checking out for a short period of time. However, everything ended up being fine. Hopefully, this was just a little glitch on this occasion, and not an ongoing issue. Also, no hand dryer and no paper towels for drying your hands in the dorm shower/toilet room, after using the toilets!

The location is good, although it can be a bit difficult to reach using public transport.
The staff are excellent—always very friendly and helpful.
Cleanliness is great: both the room and the bathrooms were cleaned daily.
You have a light and several outlets to charge your phone right by your bed.
The beds are terrible—extremely uncomfortable, as the mattress is very thin and the base is just wood. The pillow is just as bad. Access to the top bunks is also poor, and having to make your own bed makes it even more difficult.
Soundproofing is also very poor—you can hear everything from the rooms above, and if you move in your bed, everyone can hear it.
The Wi-Fi isn’t great either; it’s quite slow despite being advertised as ultra-fast.
The breakfast buffet costs €9 but offers very little—there aren’t even eggs. I went to a café instead, paid €12, and had a much better meal.
They don’t provide towels, and there’s no hairdryer in the bathroom.
Although the location is great and close to the city centre, be aware that it involves a steep uphill walk with many stairs. This can be a problem if you’re carrying luggage.
