Great location, good facilities & an enjoyable breakfast. The room was modern & had a sea view & balcony. The hotel has quirky decor & a terrace to have breakfast if we chose to. Would stay here again if we return to Ischia
We were already aware that there are a lot of steps to the rooms so bear this in mind if you're not quite so mobile. Booking.com says there's a 'bar' on the listing but there isn't so another thing to consider when booking.

Location: sei sopra il porto di Ischia, dal solarium (l'hotel è su più terrazze) hai una vista spettacolare sul mare fino all'entroterra campana, si intravede anche il Vesuvio, è in una posizione in cui si può vedere sorgere il sole!
Posizione: a piedi hai cinque minuti (in discesa) da Ischia-porto, sette dalla via principale che volendo ti porta fino a Ischia-ponte (castello aragonese) che è molto caratteristica.
Mezzi di trasporto; possibilità di noleggio bici elettriche, scooter ed auto ma in realtà l'isola è super servita dalla linea dei bus, che dista dall'Hotel 5 minuti (Ischia porto).
Cibo: ci sono varie possibilità, dal supermercato, al fast food, alle pizzerie, al ristorante (quelli di pesce: eccellente qualità ma un po' contenuti nella quantità rispetto il prezzo pagato).
Hotel: 1) vista spettacolare, come arrivi al solarium te ne rendi conto subito; 2) accoglienza spettacolare e calorosa da parte di Gianni ed Antonella, sempre disponibili e cordiali; da non perdere assolutamente (almeno una volta) le colazioni di Gianni, in cui c'è ricercatezza e creatività.
Difficile fare una critica su un posto così bello, al limite farei un appunto, cmq già suggerito ad Antonella: in estate tra asciugamani da spiaggia e quelli per la doccia ci sarebbe bisogno di uno stendino (cmq mi hanno fatto appoggiare gli asciugamani sulla recinzione della terrazza, risolvendo immediatamente il problema).

The bed is very small and only accessible on one side, and like most beds in Italy, much too firm. If I was staying more than one night I would have asked for a topper. Fantastic view, but the host speaks little English, and although he is friendly and does his best, we couldn’t chat much. I left a few messages giving my arrival time and asking if there was a shuttle to the hotel or how far it was and did not get a response before arrival. I had to wait 20 minutes before my room was ready, and the wifi wasn’t working until I mentioned it and he plugged in the connection. Fairly close, easy walk from the ferry port, uphill about ten minutes. If you had luggage (I’m only overnight so a small bag) it might be a bit of work to pull your luggage. Very funky decor, lots of great art books (all in Italian) and a cool artist/gardener vibe to this place.
