About this house rental
Casa Edda is a characteristic and welcoming apartment located in the center of Positano. It sleeps four people. From Casa Edda you will enjoy a fascinating view of the main beach of Positano (Spiaggia Grande), of the coast and of the sea. Casa Edda is 70 square meters (750 square feet). It features a private terrace with a view of the sea, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be in the center of Positano, where you will find restaurants, shops, the beach and the tourist port. You will find the stop for the Flavio Gioia bus interno Positano line a few meters (feet) away and the closest beach at roughly 600 meters (660 yards). You will reach Casa Edda from the street level going down approximately 36 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Casa Edda. If you do have one, you will be able to park it at approximately 200 meters (220 yards), for a fee, in a private parking lot. Terrace
The terrace is 15 square meters (160 square feet) large. It is equipped with a table, chairs and deck chairs. From the terrace you will enjoy a charming view of the main beach of Positano (Spiaggia Grande), of the coast and of the sea and of the ancient Cathedral of Positano.
Please kindly note. The rental price includes: electricity; linens; towels.Available upon request: baby bed. To be paid at the property:final cleaning EUR 100.00. Refundable security deposit paid cash upon arrival: EUR 50 (it is returned to you at check-out).
Living Room
The ceiling of the living room is high and vaulted. The furnishings are warm and welcoming. The furnishings include an armchair and a divan that unfolds into a double bed. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, a small refrigerator with freezer, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker and an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!). The dining table can accommodate four guests. In this room you will find a television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the beach of Positano through a French door. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom
You will be able to enter the bedroom from the corridor. The ceiling is high and vaulted. The furnishings are classic and welcoming. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The furnishings include an armchair. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace with a view of the sea and of the beach of Positano through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bathroom
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.
Laundry room
You will be able to reach the laundry room from the terrace. Here you will find a washing machine (hidden in a cabinet), an iron and an ironing board at your disposal.

My friend and I stayed in this beautiful apartment for four nights and had an absolutely incredible time! Our host Angela was fabulous! In addition to being a great communicator, she also helped us book porter service for our bags, provided advice about how to get to town, gave us restaurant, transportation and activity recommendations, and booked a car service for us for our return to Naples. The apartment was truly wonderful and the location was perfect! The view was stunning and one evening we ordered takeout pizza from the place right up the stairs and sat on the deck to enjoy it.

Staying at Casa Edda was great. The best part about it is that you’re located about 20 steps below the main road, and a few hundred from the beach. Walking to destinations is simple and relatively quick in the grand scheme of Positano.
The place really suffered with cleanliness. It seems like the photos really over glamorize the space. The decor and setup are what you would expect from Positano and of course are not a complaint for me, but the cleanliness made it a little bit uncomfortable for my partner and I to stay in.
The floors had a layer of dirt/film on them that you could see as soon as the natural light peaked in. It was most evident in the bedroom and made us feel the need to constantly wear shoes.
The bathroom was truly the hardest part. There was a really potent mold/urine smell the entire time. The shower was caked with grime on the tiles and floor. The caulking was primarily black as well. The shower doors were also covered in grime. The water pressure was decent but as soon as you looked up you could see the shower heads were covered in grime, and the ceiling was covered in black spots which I could only assume are from mosquitos and flies, being that we would shower and constantly be killing them as well. The toilet seat was also loose and would slide off anytime you sat down.
It’s also important to note that we were not given any soap for your hair or body, and were left with a single role of toilet paper. Everything else needed to be purchased by us
