Perfectly situated for our needs. 5 minute walk from train station then 5 minute walk to the empire theatre. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much bother.
Beds were comfortable and room temperature was easy to control. We didn't bring our hairdryer and reception delivered one up to our door.
When sitting in bar area the only toilets are on the next flight up.

Rooms exceptional very clean stuff very good helpful stayed there many times
Didn’t like the parking situation we’ve had four tickets just with unloading our bags to the room. Definitely need something doing with Sunderland council considering this is a tourist hotel needs to be more parking or at least given more time for customers to unload their bags and belongings into their room.
