Overview of The Singleton Beach Community

Although the home designs may be reminiscent of traditional Charlestonian architecture, the Singleton Beach Community is actually one of the youngest seaside communities on Hilton Head Island. Located mid-island between Palmetto Dunes and the Marriott Surfwatch Resort, there is no shortage of things to do in the area. Whether you choose to make the scenic walk to Collier Beach (approximately 700 yards) or take the beach shuttle*, old and young alike are sure to be pleased by our beautiful white sand beaches and relatively small crowds year-round. When it’s time to take a break from the sun, be sure to drop by “Coco's on the Beach” to grab a refreshing frozen drink or a quick bite to eat- all without leaving Collier Beach! Aside from the beach, Chaplin Oceanside Park is located a mere 100 yards away and houses a multitude of tennis courts, basketball courts, bike trails, baseball diamonds, and soccer fields, as well as a playground, dog park, and restrooms. Finally, when the day starts to draw to a close, why not top off the night by enjoying some of the finest waterfront shopping, dining, and entertainment** on the island at Shelter Cove Towne Center, just a short bike ride or drive down the road (1.5 miles).

*There is a complimentary golf cart beach shuttle service exclusive to this community. It runs Memorial Day to Labor Day (Sunday through Friday 9am-5pm, weather permitting). The driver is in the community waiting on your call. He will pick you up at the house and take you back and forth to the beach as often as you like.

**The town hosts a number of events and festivals throughout the year, including a firework display every Tuesday night during the summer that is best viewed from the Shelter Cove Community Park directly behind Shelter Cove Towne Center.

*****Pool heat is an additional $75 a day

***** There is a $200 fee per stay for elevator use

*****The Elevator nor the house are considered ADA compliant. The elevators use is solely considered a convenience use item for things like groceries and luggage. It can be operated and ridden by adults only and at their own risk. The elevator access doors are locked out for safety reasons, and accessible by digital door code. Elevator use is not guaranteed due to the frequency of required maintenance. Even if elevator fee is paid it does not guarantee guest use. Although we will do what we can to make it available if possible. If use is not available reimbursement of the elevator fee is the sole remedy granted to the guest, and no other consideration will be granted. Please Keep in mind when booking, this is a house with multiple levels, and if you or someone in your party cannot handle stairs this property may not be a good fit for you.

Great house! We were a group of 15 (three families), and the house was perfect for us. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and it was a quick walk to the beach. Restaurants and shopping were an easy drive away. The host was very responsive, and check-in was simple. We would definitely stay again.

Spent the week of Thanksgiving with large family (14 adults, teen, toddlers, infant and dogs. There was plenty of sleeping space/rooms/bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped. Easy stroll to the beach, large park accross the street. Convenient location. We sat by the pool, but weather didn't permit much use of it, nice that it has a pool for summer visitors. Bedding has thin blankets, so if you visit in winter months and get cold easy... bring blankets. We had a lovely stay, and would stay again if opportunity presented again for large family trip.

Great location. Great accommodations. Great amenties- if you could access them. There is an upcharge for heated pool and elevator- which was needed because we had senior citizens and 5- disabled veterans with us. Roof top lights did not work, and third floor bath room has a plumbing issue. We called the property management several times- each call resulted in a walk- through "self-fix" resolution. And if the pool is heated- turn it on! If there is an elevator-unlock it! Every detail is an important detail when it comes to customer satisfaction. But, overall, beautiful property.
