Beautiful well kept property. Convenient to airport yet in a pastoral setting. Really a lovely place. No airplane noise at all. Fantastic view from upstairs.
Kitchen small but fully functional.

The spaciousness. The location to the airport. The cleanliness. The views from the upstairs balcony. The quietness. The value for money was really extraordinary. Everything worked.
The kitchen was a tiny bit small, but only because it had a table and chairs in it.

The view from this property are wonderful, its also very close to the airport ( you can see the runway!) The planes fly past all day which is great if you like that sort of thing, which I do. Other than the aircraft noise, its a lovely quiet and secluded spot. The sitting room is on the second floor which is great for the view. You need a car, but if you prefer to take Uber or taxi is cost us around £22 to Edinburgh Castle. The beds are very comfortable and the living room is great for relaxing with a huge sofa.
The kitchen is in need of come more crockery (mugs, plates, bowls, saucepans etc. We did however manage as a group of 4. A small freezer would also be useful. A lot of the blinds are broke, so they could do with replacing too. Not a negative comment, maybe just a suggestion for some improvements. Also some mirrors. There is only a mirror in the bathroom which makes it difficult for drying hair. Issues with getting TV.

Pretty property with lots of walking paths around, and close proximity to the airport. A lot of people in the reviews complained about the kitchen and airplane noises, but these didn't bother us. The kitchen was small sure, but well stocked and there was a separate table and eating area upstairs so you didn't have to eat in the close-quarters kitchen. The airplanes go past your window every few minutes but you really should probably know that from the airport proximity. The kids think it's fun anyway. Dan sent a detailed and clear note with instructions on how to retrieve the key to the house, but James the co-host was there when we arrived and handed them to us. Hosts/co-hosts did a good job providing a clean home. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic.
My major issue with this property is that it is absolutely NOT private. I don't know if it's a fault of Booking.com, where I booked the property, or with the owner's description, but I understood that the property at 66 Cammo Rd would be occupied by only my family upon booking. On the booking.com page it says "The Entire Place is Yours". This is very much not true. The keep is a single building broken up into two or three rental apartments, sealed off from one another but very visible, and James, the co-host resides on the property as well. We expected a peaceful, solitary retreat, but were surprised instead to see James on multiple occasions as we looked across the shared balcony, and to step out on the deck to look at the beautiful view, only to turn around and stare into someone's bedroom window. And they can stare into yours from that same deck. Incredibly uncomfortable. For over $300 USD per night, and based off the verbiage in the description, I expected to have privacy at this location, and was very disappointed at the reality of we found there.
