Our apartment had a perfect view of the opposite valley. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool, sauna and steam rooms were excellent.
Having arrived late at night when reception was closed, the staff left our key in their lockbox for us. We had pre-ordered garage parking but the fob to open the garage door was not left for us.
Our apartment seemed smaller than we thought we’d booked for up to 5 people. On checking in at reception next morning, the staff apologised that we had been given the wrong room and offered to move us. However, we had already unpacked and settled-in and ready to ski for the day and we were only 2 people in the end so we decided not to move. The receptionist said they’d check with management what they could do (e.g. refund or other benefits). We never heard anything (yes, we could have chased but I didn’t want to spend valuable ski and leisure time chasing reception). The smaller apartment is approx 25% cheaper than the one we paid for so I do think they could have been a little more active.
1 sauna and steam room were closed for repair which meant waiting a while at busy times.
The distance to shops in Les Arcs 1800 is a 5-10 minutes walk requiring a trek down a dedicated path and then across a pisted area. The walk back with heavy shopping is all up hill and a tough walk particularly with fresh snow or ice. It’s a minor inconvenience and a fair trade-off for quiet and peace, but make sure you bring snow boots for the walk.
