Pilatus Apartments

The property was very comfortable, spacious, and well located. Even though it is not directly in Lucerne, it is very close to Pilatus Bahn, and there is access to beautiful trails leading into the foothills of Pilatus, which was amazing. The apartment had everything needed for a comfortable stay, including laundry facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, and two double beds, making it great for longer stays or families. The host is very nice and helpful, and the checking in process was easy and smooth.

A couple of small things that could make the experience even better: the pillows could use an update, as they were flat and not very comfortable, and it would be helpful to provide hand soap in the restroom for guests. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed the location and amenities very much.

The view is great as you can look out over the lake and mountains. We had space to spread out and had everything we needed really - we could even make fondu (take your own candle). I was really worried about the shower as previous reviews had mentioned the floor and it is off putting to see all the dials broken and wooden slats on the floor but it was very powerful once we worked out how to use it. Nice walks near by and close to the railway if you needed it. We explored Stoos, Engleberg and Lucerne then on to Interlaken and Lake Thun so ideal location for us.

Unfortunately we had an issue with ants in the kitchen and bathroom which was hard to then use the kitchen properly. We kept everything in the fridge and although we message the owner who said they would send help we didnt get anything! Extra seating (sofa or armchairs) would be nice as 4 was a squeeze on the sofa.

There are only 2 bathrooms

The bed / slated frame in the small bedroom was broken. There is an ant infestation that resulted in literally hundreds of ants crawling around the kitchen and bins, even though there was no food left on the counter and the bin emptied daily. Presumably the owner knows because there was ant killing spray there, but we couldn't use that with a baby crawling across the floor. The wood floor in the shower is moldy and smells strongly.
