Chateau de la Clapiere

Ich war der einzige Gast. Die Unterkunft liegt an einer Autostrasse ohne Velostreifen, wo auch Lastenzüge teils mit 80 km/h rollen. Eigentlich wollte ich mit dem von mir mitgeführten E-Bike Ausflüge durch die Natur nach Hyères, Almanarre, Giens etc unternehmen, v.a. direkt das Meer anfahren, u.a. zum Windsurfen. Dazu war es mir mit dem Bike zu gefährlich oder einfach auch zu weit weg. Eigentlich war die Fehleinschätzung mein Fehler, allerdings waren auch die Bewertungen/Schilderungen der Gäste irreführend. Der Gastgeber war bei Ankunft und vorzeitiger Abreise ausserordentlich nett.

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument formidable au Château de la Clapière à Hyères. Le cadre est tout simplement magnifique : un lieu calme, authentique et presque magique, où l’on ressent immédiatement la douceur et le charme de la Provence. Notre hôte, Henri Fabre, est une personne exceptionnelle : accueillant, attentionné et passionné par son domaine. Grâce à lui, nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous dès notre arrivée. L’emplacement est également idéal, très accessible aux plages tout en conservant la tranquillité d’une belle campagne provençale. C’est certain : nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir ! 💛

The first night was terrible because the noise of a music festival and was difficult to sleep until the end at 6 am

Henri was wonderful. We arrived late due to tyre and traffic problems and he was very helpful in suggesting where we might get the tyre sorted the following day. Chateau, gardens, pool and the surprising collection of pets and tropical birds were all beautiful. On our quiet day by the pool we felt home from home.
