It was large and spacious. The location is great and terrible. If you plan to hop on a train or bus early every morning and return late in the afternoon or evening this location is very convenient. If you want to relax on the balcony and enjoy nature I wouldn’t choose this location.
The apartment is large with 4 beds 3 in one room a single and a bunk bed and 1 large bed in another room. The lower bunk bed mattress is warn thin you will feel the slats under the mattress. There are two couches in the living room. One television in the living room, a small table in the kitchen a larger table in the dining room and a large table and chairs on the balcony. You can just see the waterfall above the buildings from the balcony.
The young lady who checked us in and showed us our apartment was very kind and helpful. Check in was easy. We paid $10 Chf per night to park and that was easy as well.
Very Loud location. You will hear the bus stop and bus noise, trains and train noise, a lift que is also right outside the primary bedroom, the only grocery store in town is under the kitchen and living room windows.
You will hear all morning deliveries and customers eating and hanging out under your windows.
You are staying in the middle of the main hub of the Lauterbrunnen Valley. It’s very noisy. Especially when it’s warm and windows must be open.
Microwave was broken. Kitchen dishes and silverware weren’t clean, food stuck to both dishes and silverware. That was gross but we just washed anything before we used it. We had to be careful not to use all of the soap provided during the stay as you are required to clean and put away all dishes upon departure which is probably why they weren’t clean.
The large bedroom at the front had no light blocking windows covers the sun is up you’ll be up too! Additionally if the windows need to be open you’ll be awakened by the early morning delivery trucks that roll into the train station, the trains squealing breaks and the grocery store delivery trucks which unload and load right under the apartment, the arrivals of train riders who immediately lineup for the bus stop under the balcony. Limited amounts of soap for kitchen and bathroom. Bring your own shampoo and bath soaps.

Pickup was good but we were unaware that the keys are actually at a restaurant across the road called the Steinbock.
