The Stables is a lovely B&B - the building has lots of character. Breakfast was very nice - all cooked freshly to order and a great choice. We also had lunch there - the restaurant is lovely and there is a nice courtyard out the back. The room was clean and comfortable. Birr Castle is on your doorstep so we took the opportunity to go in there for the morning.

The breakfast was so lovely and freshly made a la carte, the location is so central and lots of car parking on the street.
the bathroom , there was no soap or shower cap and the drain the shower tray was bit blocked. but still very clean and if I would have asked for these missing items the staff would have brought them as they were super nice, i was there just for one day.

Spacious room, easy on street parking
Too expensive for a b and b, small bathroom with electric shower- I was expecting a bath from photos on website, lots of cobwebs on wallpaper and chandelier above bed, all paint peeling off ceiling in bathroom, advertised rituals products but only one small rituals conditioner product, tea and coffee facilities only have fruit flavoured tea. My husband had finished his breakfast before I got mine despite only us two in the room.
