Very green and beautifully decorated. Beautiful pool side with jungle feeling.
Soundproof is not perfect. You can easily hear the neighbor showering.

In principle a nice historic Pousada with a lovely peaceful swimming pool surrounded by plants and trees in the middle of the hotel. Good location just a few minutes walk to the historic centre of Paraty. The bedrooms are a reasonable size, with good airco and the beds were large and comfortable. We enjoyed the breaksfast which had a good selection but the area is too small for number of guests and you often had to wait for the buffet to be refilled/restocked.
I was looking forward to staying at this hotel but the bedrooms are old, dated and need to be refurished. They have an old open bathroom in the bedroom. The toliet does have a door but there is an open gap at the top of one of walls into the bedroom/shower area so no actual privacy. The rooms have an open window in the shower area onto the hotel hallway so from our beds we could hear the people in the next rooms talking and having their showers, guests passing along the hallway, plus the general street noise around the hotel. There were no bins in the bedroom for rubbish. As noted by others we were also charged a 10% service charge on checking out and overall I didn't think the overall offering was good value for the price paid.
