I booked for 2 days.
On Day 1, the heating system wasn't working at all, and the reception was closed, so there was no one to help. I had no choice, so I decided to put on more layers and try to sleep through a freezing -5 night.
Day 2 after complaining they resolved the issue and but my experience was already ruined by that time.

We've stayed at The Calf's Head a couple of times before. The service and staff are first class. Great breakfast. Previous rooms have been of a good size. This time we were in room 9. It's a small room, with the bed pushed to the wall on one side which, for a couple, means that one person has to climb over the bed to get in. More of a single room than a double.
