About this house rental
Located on the south bank of the beautiful medieval town of Chinon, La Maison de Louise is a charming two-story townhouse, fully renovated for an unforgettable stay in Touraine.
Just steps from Chinon’s medieval streets, the Vienne River (for boat or canoe rides), and the famous vineyards, you’ll be ideally situated to explore the region.
Touraine’s must-see attractions are nearby: Richelieu, Château du Rivau, Rigny-Ussé, Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry, Chenonceau, the Beauval Zoo, and the Futuroscope.
The house comprises:
Ground floor
• Spacious, bright living room with seating area, TV, and dining space
• Fully equipped open kitchen (filter coffee maker + Nespresso, kettle, dishwasher, induction hob, oven, microwave)
• Direct access to a landscaped garden, perfect for lunch or relaxing
1st floor
• 2 bedrooms with 140x190 cm beds
• One bedroom also includes a baby crib and changing table
• Bathroom with bathtub and toilet
2nd floor
• Large bedroom with a 160x200 cm bed
• En-suite bathroom with shower and toilet
Parking is available nearby, with free or paid spaces.
Bed linen and towels are included in the rate, and the beds are made upon arrival.
Check-in is from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM by appointment, scheduled the day before arrival.
A security deposit of €500 will be requested upon arrival via a non-debited credit card hold, which will be released within 48 hours after departure if no damage or excessive dirt is noted.

We enjoyed our stay. The garden is very relaxing.. The kitchen is fully equipped and all features of the rental were up to date and of good quality. The historic district is a 10-15 walk using the bridge across the Vienne river. The market on Saturday at Jeane (Joan) of Arc Place is great fun, with a wonderful selection of fresh produce,cheeses and meats. The Royal Fortress is a easy 20 - 25 minute walk, a must do. We had a good experience visiting Couly -Dutheil winery.The third bedroom is located on 3rd, 43 steps up and it main bedroom, very nice space. Parking is a bit of challenge and typically we parked on the other side of the bridge on Quai Danton 5-10 minute walk, no fee for overnight. We definitely would stay here again. Good value for the money.

We had a wonderful stay in this home just across the river from the center of Chinon. It was a short walk to the beer garden on the river as well as Chinon center and the fortress. We have visited and stayed in Chinon in the past and it is our favorite place in all of France. We will definitely return.
