We enjoyed a really relaxing mid week break. The hotel is clean, comfortable and recently renovated. Good options at breakfast and good bar food in the evening. Excellent staff, friendly and attentive. The leisure centre is a bit tired but is, apparently, next on the list for renovation.

Went here with my 2 daughters . Our room was very disappointing as it was a room that had a make shift 3rd bed that was stuck to the radiator. We paid a lot of money for the room. We asked to be changed but were told no triple rooms available in new part of hotel? Other than that the saving grace was the foot soldiers who were lovely. When I told at reception it was my birthday the receptionist wished me happy birthday and that was that. Not a complementary drink or such like which I thought was bad form. Any ways we won't be back . We also had a lot of luggage and had to bring to room ourselves. 4 star
