    We have two children, aged 10 and 2, and they both really enjoyed the family room. The lodge was excellent, especially on rainy days. When we couldn’t go outside, our children spent a lot of time playing board games and musical instruments, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

    Had a great stay at Basecamp. We have only stayed at their south shore location and were not disappointed here either. Only need is a little more parking.

    I stayed at Basecamp Hotel, and I want to share an honest review for future travelers. The location is definitely a plus—it’s convenient and close to attractions. However, the room itself was extremely disappointing. After checking in at the front desk and receiving the key, we went straight to the room—but we did not stay even a single night. The moment we entered, we immediately noticed how unclean and poorly maintained the room was. There was even a dead bug on the floor, the carpet looked dirty, and the room felt dark and unpleasant. Because of these conditions, we decided to leave right away and book another hotel on the same day. It was not a place we felt comfortable staying in at all. To be completely honest, this feels more like a motel rather than a hotel. I’m sharing this review to help other travelers make informed decisions. Not all experiences are reflected in positive or filtered reviews, and I believe it’s important to be transparent. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves their cleanliness and overall standards, because the location has potential, but the current condition does not meet expectations.
