Stayed one night for a nearby Family Wedding, our room was on the top floor of the building so lots of steps so might not be suitable for elderly or disabled guests and would advise of any mobility issues when booking as there seems to be rooms at ground level, but for us it was fine. The room itself was a little tired in places but considering it is a very old building this was understandable and for the rate we paid it was a bargain (midweek), we had a twin room and was a nice size and the shower room was also large but a little dark but did have plenty of shelves for toiletries sadly missing at a lot of hotels. Beds were perfectly ok and the room also had a TV but we didn't use it
The cooked breakfast was one of the best we've had, the pub has a nice beer garden which has lots of wildlife and would be great to sit outside in the warm weather.
We would definitely recommend and would return if we need to stay in the area again.

Clean room, comfy bed, quiet and peaceful and well worth the money paid. Pub downstairs serving good food reasonably priced. Also a Chinese/chips shop and an Indian restaurant within 50 yards.
The room could do with a makeover if you were fussy, but for the money, it would be unreasonable to complain
