I went during Carnival and they had a live band from from Noon to 10 pm Saturday to Monday. Rock concert loud. Plus later in the week you had people driving thru parking lot blasting music late. Noise didn't stop until half way thru my stay. Lots of food options at the mall but no late night nearby food options. I wouldn't stay farther than Centro. Staff was great. Breakfast would start 15 mins late most mornings.

If you like being treated like you’re bothering someone by just existing, you will love the staff here. Also a place where the “do not disturb” sign means nothing.
But it’s still Ibis, so it’s fairly reliable.
Good to know: to get there, you’ll be passing the outskirts of some of the most dangerous areas in Rio. Plan accordingly.
