An authentic place that used to be an aristocratic house, very interesting interior design and perfect location: a one-minute walk from Piazza del Popolo.
There is no mirror in the bedroom.

We absolutely loved this hotel. We felt like we were staying in a palace and the whole experience felt very authentic and was one of our most memorable stays in Italy. We appreciated the included toiletries and the room was spacious and had a very large window you can fully open. This was hands down one of the best breakfasts we had at a hotel in Italy. They had an assortment of savoury and salty foods and I had the best cream filled croissant in all of Italy here (the one with the yellow cream). The location was very central and you can easily walk to restaurants and shops within minutes. For the price and quality of our stay, this hotel is an absolute must when visiting Ascoli. We will definitely stay here again when whenever we visit.
Don't follow the GPS if you are driving as you can't drive directly to the hotel without passing a ZTL no drive zone which you will be fined for if you are not a resident. I would recommend parking about 5-10 minute walk away for ease of mind and convenience.
Also, the room felt very dim and dark. I would suggest additional lighting.

The palazzo itself is charming, but unfortunately the room left a lot to be desired. The mattress was old and uncomfortable, with noticeable springs, and the bedding had a tear. Some towels had holes, which made everything feel a bit worn out.
There was also a persistent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, and the toilet seat didn’t fit properly, it was far too small. The place clearly needs some renovation and updating.
That said, breakfast was decent, and the highlight of our stay was Lucy, who made the best coffee and brought a warm, personal touch each morning.
She really made a difference.
The room felt worn out, an uncomfortable mattress, torn sheet, holey towels, and a bad smell from the bathroom. The toilet seat didn’t fit properly. It needs updating.
