I ordered a bedroom not realising it was a disability room. The room was on ground floor , the wind was blowing in the window aswell as the noise of traffic from the road . The rooms are a bit drab. I order the battered cod from restaurant , which came on a thick bed of blended peas which stuck to the fish , it was gross. The menu did not mention this , I couldn’t eat it. The server said they could not refund the fish but took a soup off my order which was disappointing as I couldn’t eat the £17 fish I’d ordered. When I mentioned to the receptionist about the lack of sleep due to the noise , I got a standard apology & that it will be passed on. That really didn’t benefit me at all. When I went for breakfast unfortunately the service was really bad , no sugar or sauce was offered. The fella was on his own however he was not checking in to see if things were alright . I sat for ages not able to drink my coffee as I had no sugar , I had to eat the fry with no sauce . Honestly I never write bad reviews but this experience added to my stress ,I had hoped for a relaxing experience. I would never stay there again unfortunately. The rest of the hotels decor and ambiance was beautiful.
