I don't understand why I should pay facility fee. Swimming pool was bad so I didn't use. Parking fee was too high rather than other parking lot. When I found the plate on the street nearby hotel 'all day parking 15cad', i was surprised. Parking fee at the hotel was more expensive!

I stayed at this historic boutique hotel (part of which used to be an old stone mill) and had an adequate stay there for one night. My check-in experience went okay and all of my requests were met. However, I did have to pay a facility fee of just over twenty dollars (in Canadian funds) and because I had wanted to stay in a room located in the older historic side of the building, I had to pay another thirty-five dollars (in Canadian funds). This was perhaps due to my having booked my reservation online with a third party booking site and the extra fees or add-on charges were not part of that. That is most probably the only grievance that I have against this establishment apart from there being no continental or hot breakfast buffet being offered in the morning, which is a bit of a pity given the fact that a lot of other hotels in the same area do offer that service to their guests or even include it as part of their accommodation. The bed's mattress that I had slept on was also a bit too firm or hard for my liking and so I wasn't really able to get a good night's sleep but overall the room I was staying in was satisfactory to my own liking. I had a room with a nice view of the indoor swimming pool area and there also was a Nespresso coffee machine in the room as well but no tea bags to make tea with, which again was something I had expected only to find out it was not offered to me. Overall, the bathroom in my room was good and the use of a bathtub with a shower inside was also a plus. My room was clean and spotless as well. I would likely stay at this hotel again if I ever require another overnight stay in Niagara Falls sometime in the future. On a scale of one to ten, I would probably give it a rating between seven and eight.
