Very clean and roomy

It was excellent

This is an amazing house/flat in a great location (about 15 minute walk to town centre/ferry terminal) with spectacular views. Tastefully decorated and spacious, and mostly well-equipped with some exceptions.

The walkway is intense, but the host informed us immediately after booking, so we were aware and the beautiful views and the beauty of the house itself made it worth the climb. We were only given one roll of toilet paper for each of the two bathrooms for 4 nights/ 5days/5 people. For a house that sleeps 6, this is completely inadequate. We had to buy our own on the second day. Perhaps add “bring your own tp” to the description as it is a basic expectation. There is no recycling bin. We were instructed to bring all of our recycling to town and dispose of it. Maybe not a big deal if you have a car, but we didn’t love walking to the recycling center with trash bags. A bin should be purchased for the property. It’s also a basic expectation. No welcome book. Would be helpful to have one with instructions or operating manuals.

Beautiful house, lovely decor and liked that the property retained a lot of the original features. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The house was within easy walking distance of the town.

The steep hill up would be ok but it's a slippy muddy dirt track. If some effort had been put in to properly pave it or at least put proper gravel - as all other properties on the hill had done - it would be easier. If you go slightly onto the grassy bit it is VERY slippy. Dirty dishes in the cupboards. Tiny hard to see note on the dryer dating not working - only realised this after washing clothes. DVD player didn't seem to work either. Could have been the batteries as these also seemed low on the TV remote. I wouldn't stay again or recommend mostly because of the slippy path - and we had decent weather too so in torrential rain would be no fun at all.
