In a beautiful hillside location with views of Cortona, La Noce is a small stone farmhouse with an unmistakable profile and a fascinating soul. ... "I deeply love my home, it speaks of me, of my life and of my way of life. I would therefore like to consider the people who will stay there as guests, friends whom I wish to be happy in Cortona "... With these words the owner opens her house that develops on two floors. On the ground floor the living area is characterized by carefully chosen pieces and exotic colors. The kitchen has direct access to the garden equipped for eating comfortably outdoors, while the fireplace in the living room is ideal for enjoying pleasant moments of relaxation and intimacy even in the less hot seasons, marked by the ancient rhythms of nature and the intense colors of this corner of Tuscany. The ground floor is completed by a lovely bathroom with bathtub. Upstairs the sleeping area consists of two bedrooms, one double, the other with two single beds, which share a bathroom with shower and a wonderful view. From the garden, dotted with silvery olive trees, the view sweeps free on the Valdichiana dominated by the nearby Cortona, an Etruscan jewel that turns pink, when the arrival of the night offers spectacular sunsets. A few minutes from the historic center and close to the art cities of Tuscany and Umbria, La Noce is a welcoming and ideal place for a relaxing, cultural and gastronomic stay.

Lovely renovated country house with olive grove outside the door and large swimming pool (which we didn't use because it was too cold). It was very clearly someone else's house, with many personal effects, photos, etc. which was a bit strange. The parking was terrible, across the street on a steep hill, with plenty of slippery mud from recent rains. It was difficult to pull out of the mud/gravel area onto the paved road. This was not made clear at all until we arrived at the house with the representative from the management company, when it was obviously too late to do anything about it. When we arrived we had to wash several coffee cups which had been put back on the shelf without washing by the previous tenant or cleaning person. The garden and pool were lovely, and would be fabulous in the summer. The bedroom with a double bed had no place to hang or store clothing. One thin blanket on each bed was barely OK for October, but definitely needs more for winter. We enjoyed our stay in the house, but the parking situation would be a big drawback to coming here again.
