About this villa rental
The Home Varaville 2 km from Cabourg, 30 m from the beach by a private road. A garden of 400 m² for shared use. A place of parking on the closed ground. Baker, Charcutier at 200 m, restaurant at 300 m, thermal center "Thalazur" at 1 km, golf course 18 holes at 1km.
Semi-detached villa of 80 m², 4 rooms, on 2 levels. Fully equipped kitchen opening onto a living room with flat screen TV, corner sofa, a bedroom on the ground floor (140 cm bed) with flat screen TV, WC on ground floor. Upstairs: shower room with WC and towel dryer, 1 bedroom with 1 double bed (160 cm), 1 flat screen TV, 1 wardrobe and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds (90 cm) and flat screen TV.
Electric heating, 1 iron with table, garden furniture, parasol, barbecue.
Bed linen and towels are not provided. Housekeeping not included, foresee 60 € in cash to be given at the delivery of the keys imperatively. If no deposit no keys will be given on arrival. If the house is impeccable this sum will be refunded to you at your departure.
A deposit check must be handed in at the entrance of an amount of 500 €.
Check in time is 1 pm (see other options if required), and departure at 10 am.
Non smoking inside the house, small animals allowed.

The house is very nice and clean. Super nice location next to the beach. Sadly the neighbours were renovating the stairs which caused a lot of noise for 2 days.

The house is beautiful and in a very charming location. We had a very comfortable stay. The beach is so close and didn’t get very busy, the town itself is quiet and friendly. It would be a big improvement if the house had WiFi. We had no phone signal in the house and without WiFi it was difficult to look up information on local attractions or the weather forecast, for example, or even to contact the owners because we couldn’t access the Homeaway website. There were a few repairs waiting to be done (the sink in the downstairs toilet was broken so we couldn’t use that room; the shower hose was leaking and was strapped with tape but needed mending). This didn’t spoil our enjoyment of the house but hopefully these repairs will soon be done.
The arrangements for two deposits were not made clear until the day before check in; this needed to be much clearer prior to be booking as it wasn’t much notice and a bit inconvenient. The owner, understandably, works and so check in and check out had to fit around her working hours with little flexibility - we weren’t told this in advance, we found out whilst travelling that we could only check in at 1pm or 6pm. It would have informed our travel arrangements if we had known this in advance. We couldn’t factor it in because we didn’t know. For the same reasons we also then had to check out at 8am and there was little flexibility.
The owners were very friendly and helpful people and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for a quiet getaway by the sea it’s a beautiful house in a lovely location.

The day before we arrived we where asked via text if we need linen and towels. We said yes. The evening we arrived no towels or linen. We called the concierge contact he said sorry and he could not make it that evening so no sheets or towels, but next morning he will come early. So after a long day we had no linen. He did not make it next morning either, we sat all morning waiting, so I bought towels and we went about our day. That evening there where towels and sheets available at the door. So the next day we are traveling in the region and get a call that the concierge is at the house waiting to be paid for the linen. One, we where an hour away, two why would you just show up to the house looking for money, three I didn't know we needed to pay for linen. So we told him we where enjoying our vacation and would talk later. That evening he showed up at the house. He wanted his money for linen, 90 Euros, I was not happy to pay for something we didn't have for 2 days of our stay, he went down to 40 Euros, I just wanted it to be over, so I said OK here is my card. He said no card cash only, I thought that was strange. So I gave him 50 Euro, he said he had no change and would bring 10 euro change in the morning, he never did. This entire inter- action was very strange and didn't seem legitimate.
