About this villa rental
This brand new house lies in a very quiet area, just 400 meters from the lake of Bolsena. It features a large garden of about 10.000m2 (completely fenced) and a 6x12 meter swimming pool, all for private use of the tenant. The property has been furnished with taste. It is suitable for up to 6 people (+ baby cot on request). It has 2 bedrooms (one with double bed, the other with 2 single beds), there is furthermore a double bed on mezzanine in the living room. The entire house has air conditioning (the roof has a good and modern insulation). There are 2 covered terraces where you can eat outside and enjoy the view of the lake. Barbecue available. The public beach is about 600m away from the house. Within 1.5 km of the house are 3 different restaurants. Supermarket and other shops are located in the village of Gradoli around 4 Kms away. It is a good starting point to visit northern Lazio, Umbria and southern Tuscany or for a day to the sea (45 minutes to the sandy beaches of Montalto di Castro, 1h15 for the sandy beaches around the famous Monte Argentario).

This is a beautiful, well-maintained property overlooking Lake Bolsena. The house sits on a large lot with lots of green space and nice gardens. It is quite private and has a view down over farm fields out to the lake about 500m away. The house itself is very nice inside and was very clean and tidy when we arrived. It has a well-equipped kitchen with most of what you might want for cooking. The only item missing was a microwave oven. We found the beds very comfortable and there was lots of closet space. The owner obviously takes pride in ownership and comes personally to tend the grounds and pool (at agreed times). There are two bedrooms on the main floor and a further bed for older children on a loft floor (as can be seen in photos). The house is fully air-conditioned, but it also has window screens, so we found in early September that the AC wasn't needed much. The pool is very large and is great for swimming lengths. It is kept very clean by the owner. We enjoyed walks along the road bordering the lake, visited the beach on the lake (about 30min walk) and also walked into Gradoli on the gravel road (40min up hill). We happened to go over the siesta time that starts at 1pm, so not much was open, but much to our surprise, we met the owner on the street. He works at the local city government, which is housed in the 15c Palazzo.We speak almost no Italian and he speaks almost no English, but he was kind enough to give us a private tour of the Palazzo and a quick walk through the Costume Museum in the palace. I would highly recommend this property.

This is by far the best villa I have stayed in with the best views. Lake Bolsena feels very unspoilt and beautiful in every way. The pool at the villa is so big it allowed for plenty of fun all day. The house is fantastic with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Can not recommend this house highly enough!

I'm actually reluctant to say how good this accommodation is for fear of it becoming difficult to book again! Beautiful house, fantastic location if you like being away from the crowds (which we do) and the most amazing scenery all around. This house is quite remote and you definitely need a car if only to be able to stock up on provisions. Lake Bolsena is within easy walking distance and is peaceful, quiet and unspoilt by tourism! We can only hope it remains that way. Everything in the house was clean, well maintained and well thought out, it was beautifully decorated and very comfortable inside and out. The owners of the property were lovely and very accommodating as we arrived much later than expected due to the cancellation of our flight. The owner came to the property during our week to clean the pool but was very unobtrusive and came and went within about 15 minutes with no fuss or bother. We would absolutely recommend this property without hesitation and have already booked to return next year but for longer next time.
