Due To South Lake Tahoe city ordinance the minimum rental period is 31 days.
The Space
This is a newly remodeled 2,650 square foot 2 story house, 5 bedroom, 2 bath with an attached 1 bedroom 700 square foot mother-in-law suite in front which is rented out long term. Al. The bottom floor includes a living room, gourmet kitchen, dining room, den, full bathroom, gas fireplace, laundry room/mud room and large bedroom with an adjustable split king bed. The top floor has just been remodeled and includes 4 bedrooms and a full bathroom. The house has an enclosed back yard/patio with an outdoor table, a picnic bench, a BBQ and smoker depending upon the time of year due to snow restrictions. The driveway has room for 6 cars parked in tandem.
We are located on a bike path close to Pope Beach, the Y, and Camp Richardson. There are several restaurants, stores, and several bike rental shops, within walking distance. There is a nice 2-mile trail thru the forest on conservancy land a block away. The house has high-speed internet with speeds frequently exceeding 400 Mb but does not include cable.
The house does not have AC but it stays cool. Some areas are on central heat and the bedrooms are provided with portable heaters. During a loss of power, the fireplace and gas range work; battery operated lanterns located in the dining room are provided.
All necessary bed linens and towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided. Weddings are not permitted, nor are firepits, charcoal BBQs, or fireworks.
In the winter there is a good possibility of snow, but that can start as early as mid-October and as late as mid-May. Snow shovels are provided for you to clear the snow and the all entry doors have smart locks.
