About this cottage rental
Visiting Keswick doesn’t come much better when combined with a stay at pretty Crag Cottage. Located down a quiet cul-de-sac just 75 yards from Keswick town square, our traditional two bedroom rustic cottage is superbly positioned.
Crag has is tastefully decorated and presented to a high standard. It is ideal for a couple, friends or small family. There is a petite and secluded patio garden with mature shrubs at the cottages front. This area is ideal for enjoying an alfresco dinner, and there is the benefit of private parking to the rear of the property.
This lovely Keswick cottage has been traditionally styled to suit the history of the property. There are, of course, all the mod cons and comforts expected in a high quality holiday home – WiFi Internet access, flat screen tv, dvd, central heating, comfortable beds – but also some nice traditional aspects such as handmade oak shelving and a cosy wood burning stove.
Keswick is a beautiful town with great parks, good shopping, quality restaurants, an amazing theatre, stunning scenery and much more. The main town square is centred around the famous Moot Hall, now the Keswick tourist information centre, and market days are on Thursdays and Saturdays. Many of the shops and restaurants surround the pedestrianised square and there is always something to do. Crag Cottage sits down a sleepy and quiet cul-de-sac about 150 yards from the Moot Hall.
Please be aware that there are two self catering properties called Crag Cottage in Keswick. Ours is very close to Keswick town square, has private parking and a patio garden, the other doesn’t!
Our cottages are completely non-smoking and unfortunately we don’t accept pets.
Crag Cottage is a traditional slate-built cottage with sash windows, comfortable furnishings and facilities, very close to Keswick town centre. The cottage has gas central heating and comprises of:
Ground Floor:
Lounge with wooden floor, sash window & woodburning stove – , WiFi Internet access, LCD TV, DVD, CD radio.
Kitchen, with gas oven/hob, washing machine, fridge (with freezer compartment), microwave and dining table/chairs.
Hallway with reading area.
Bathroom (newly renovated) with bath, shower (over bath), WC and wash hand basin.
Staircase from lounge leading to First Floor:
Bedroom 1 with king-size double bed, drawers & built in wardrobes and LCD TV.
Bedroom 2 with single bed & drawers.
Facilities/Miscellaneous outside:
•Private patio garden with outdoor furniture at front of cottage
•Private parking space for one car at rear of property
•All utilities and bed linen included.

Crag Cottage is a lovely home from home. Ideally situated just a very short distance from Keswick town centre, but quiet & peaceful too. Well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. High quality furniture & fixtures. The only reservation we had was the need to "tidy up" the interior white-work & update the porch/back door where the wood is rotten. However, this doesn't detract from what is a super Keswick cottage. We loved our stay at Crag Cottage & were sad to leave. Thank you Ariadna.

Yes this is the best location to stay in keswick! I would highly recommend beautiful cottage walking distance perfect I. The Centre of town! Many Thanks. Keswick is also perfect location for visits to surrounding villages. !

Perfect convenient location in the centre of Keswick while also nice and quiet. Good communication from the owner, and a nice little cottage to stay in.
However, the cottage could have been better prepared and stocked, as we needed to ask for toiled paper and firewood from the owner after discovering they weren't there, and a few items you would expect were either running low or exhausted - sugar, salt / pepper, washing up liquid etc. Also could do with a little maintenance in the bathroom - the shower screen leaks water onto the floor, and the bath plughole is partially blocked.
