About this villa rental
This is a gem! Modern, detached boutique villa perched on top of a hill, in the charming hamlet of Kokkino Chorio. Take in expansive sea views over Souda bay and a dramatic mountain view. Villa Louisa is uniquely positioned to offer you both a family oriented holiday, close to child friendly beaches or a romantic hideaway with access to remote beaches and hidden gastronomic delights.
Villa Louisa is a two bedroomed Villa, that sleeps 4. Both bedrooms have unrestricted
sea views, with direct access to the garden and shared pool. Feel at home in the elegance and simplicity of this Villa. Relax by the pool, go for country walks, enjoy local food within walking distance at the tavern on the square.
Kokkino Chorio has a small village mini market within walking distance from the villa. The village square has a pretty Cretan church that set the scene for the movie, Zorba the Greek.
The Villa is fully equipped, with two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and lounge area. Private parking, a well maintained garden and shared use of a huge sparkling pool. Villa Louisa is uniquely positioned to enjoy a relaxing Greek holiday but close enough to other villages to explore the nightlife.
Plaka and Drapanos are a short drive away. Both have tavernas and mini markets with locally grown produce, Cretan olives and olive oil, artisan honey and Cretan mountain herbs. If you are a foodie, spend time exploring the markets for local cheeses and other artisanal products.
Almyrida is an accessible beach resort and child friendly, there are a number of quality restaurants to choose from and it has a low key nightlife. Kalyves is 5 minute’s drive from Almyrida with more shops and restaurants to choose from. Enjoy a pizza on the beach at our favourite Italian restaurant - Il Forno. Both Kalyves and Almyrida are Blue Flag accredited beaches, offering an array of water sports such as scuba diving, snorkelling or wind surfing.

We enjoyed our stay in the villa very much, it had everything we needed. The place is spacious, clean and well looked after and Louise easy to contact.
The garden and separating it bushes give sort of privacy from guests staying in other villas and the pool never was overcrowded. We ate in places recommended by Louise, but our favourite one was tavern near the villa, which serves authentic and hearty Greek dishes. Make sure to try it!

Really enjoyed our stay. The villa was lovely and clean and in a great location, car essential. The pool is a great size and was very quite.
Plenty of places to eat close by (short car drive). Louisa was excellent in her communication. We had a slight problem with one of the shutters however this was rectified very quickly after contacting Louisa (thank you).
I would highly recommend staying in this beautiful villa.

A clean and spacious villa set in the quiet area of Kokkino Chorio yet close enough to Plaka and Almyrida for small supermarkets and restaurants. The villa itself shares a wonderful pool with 4 other villas but we found that we had the pool to ourselves most days. Nicely furnished with main kitchen essentials.
The Owner and on site Manager were amazing at trying to rectify a problem we encountered.
There is only one Taverna/restaurant serving the most amazing food, be sure to book a table in advance for their Sunday Greek music night. Check out the local Octopus Bay 10 minutes away and further afield Lake Kournas just after Georgioupolis. Car essential.

Spectacular views from poolside and villa balcony.
Well equipped kitchen not lacking for anything.
Spacious lounge and dining area. The air conditioning unit probably needs a service in this room.
Bedrooms were excellent sized beds and comfy firm matresses. Airconditioning was perfect.
Pool was a great size and always quiet and the views towards the sea were spectacular. Behind the house is a dramatic mountain backdrop.
