About this apartment rental
Great for Families, this renovated condo has new appliances, furniture, flooring and bedding. In the loft there are 6 bunk built in bunk beds. Shipwatch has its own boat ramp, courtesy docks for boats and jetskis. There are 2 pools, 2 clubhouses, tennis and pickleball courts. Our unit is on the second floor and there is not an elevator. 2 easy flights of stairs. Beach Chair service is available and you are right down from the Flora-Bama.

My family and I had an awesome stay at a condo at Shipwatch in Perdido Key. We were right on the beach and the pool was right beside us. The kids absolutely loved this! There were 16 of us and the condo easily handled this. I would rent here again.

We decided to stay here as two families for a few nights just to get away. We had a wonderful time at the beach. The weather was nice and the kids had a blast playing in the ocean. The unit itself is very nice and spacious with very comfortable beds and a really fun bunk-bed setup.
Now for the issues. First the properties are not well maintained. The buildings just look old. There is no elevator. The handrails going up the stairs were coming out of the wall in some places. The pool was nice, but it was full of sand and all of the chairs in the area were old and the paint was flaking off of them.
At first glance when we entered the condo everything looked great. But after two full days here are some of the things we found.
We found 3 live roaches and lots of ants in both downstairs bathrooms and kitchen.
The cleaning company does not do a good job. When we came in there was already sand on the floors. The bed skirt in the master bedroom has a long brown stain on it. One of the pans had leftover eggs on it so it hadn't been cleaned, and the fridge and a couple of other places were dirty.
The dryer doesn't work properly. It stops about 5-10 minutes no matter the setting. To dry anything, you have to start the dryer over and over many times.
I sent a message to the owner with all of this information and none of this was ever acknowledged. Like another reviewer said communication was not great.
We loved the location but doubt we will stay here again.
