The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location and overall stay were good.

However, communication with the host was stressful. Before arrival, it was very difficult to get important information and responses through Booking. Then, shortly before check-in and during the stay, we received many repeated WhatsApp messages about documents, arrival, payment, and checkout time, which felt excessive and uncomfortable.

Elevator was a little tricky first time used.

If you're looking for a cheap and comfortable place to stay in Civitavecchia, this place was pretty amazing for the price. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom and the room in general were very clean, and for the price, we even got a very simple breakfast, but nonetheless a breakfast for that price. At first, I thought it was going to be difficult to check in due to it being self-checking, but we had no issues as the explanations were excellent with pictures and videos, so you can't go wrong. We booked one night to stay closer to the cruise port as we were leaving on a boat the next day. It is about an 8-minute walk to the bus terminal that takes you to the cruise port. Highly recommended, would stay again if needed.

The only thing I would change is the checkout time, as I think 10 a.m. is too early. However, I won't lower the score because it was clearly stated that that was the time. In our case, as we were taking a cruise and the boarding time was 12, we were left with a little extra time with nothing to do before our cruise.

The breakfast was just stale cakes in plastic left there before we arrived. We had no idea how much of the food was for us. The kitchen was shared and there was another guest room. We were up early but if we had eaten two of everything (there were two of us), there would have been nothing left if the other room was occupied. So we just ate a couple of small things. Very confusing and unsatisfying.
