This B&B is located off the main roads and is pretty isolated. No one will find you here if you having an illicit relationship or are in witness protection!! Our room was comfortable and the bed firm. We stayed two nights in mid-May so evenings were still cool, but there was an electric heater in the room to take the chill off. The B&B is located about a 15 minute to 20 minute drive from the trailhead to Mt Errigal if you are interested in hiking. There are several pubs or restaurants within a 5 or 10 minute drive. The breakfast is self serve, comprising cold cereals, fruit, bread and eggs that you cook yourself. Lots of parking, bright kitchen area, with available tea, coffee and muffins during the day.

There were several small things that were slightly bothersome. The liquid soap in our ensuite (both shower and sink) were 95% empty so you had to tilt the container and pump to get soap. When we booked the accommodation, we did not see that the breakfast was self-cooked and organized. It was not a big issue, but good to know in case you are expecting to be pampered.

Wasn't sure how the hoymt water for the room worked - there was a switch on the wall that may have been for heating the water, but I realised too late!

John was very welcoming, as I was the sole guest he upgraded me to a larger room with a stove to keep things cosy. He very generously gave me free rein in the kitchen and gave me some pointers for food in town and nice walks in the area.
