Fantastyczni gospodarze. Czekało na nas pieczywo, wędlina, warzywa, dżem i miód. Woda a nawet butelka wina. Dostaliśmy świeży, jeszcze ciepły chleb. Mieszkanie znajduje się nad piekarnią gospodarzy. Jest w nim wszystko co jest niezbędne nawet do długiego pobytu (byliśmy tu dwa tygodnie). Na placu przed piekarnią znajdują się dwie tawerny gdzie wieczorem spotykają się mieszkańcy. Akamatra to wieś w centrum wyspy, Można stąd dojechać we wszystkie jej zakamarki.

Die Wohnung ist die Mansarde oben auf dem Haus der Bäckersfamilie, mit Rundumblick und Sonnenterasse auf dem Dach, mitten im Dorf gelegen. Als vollausgestattete Ferienwohnung eignet sie sich auch für längere Aufenthalte. In der Bäckerei gibt es immer frisches Brot und die allerleckersten Sachen. Wir fanden ganz besonders die Quittenmarmelade unwiderstehlich. Die Vermieterfamilie ist sehr herzlich.
Das Dorf Akamatra liegt im Zentrum der Insel und ist damit der ideale Ausgangspunkt für die zahlreichen Bergwanderungen, die Ikaria zu bieten hat. Mit dem Auto nach Evdilos sind es ca. 15 Minuten, zum Strand Mesakti ca. 45 Minuten zu fahren.
Das Dorf ist durchgehend bewohnt; man kann also durchaus auch im Winter kommen und entspannen, oder - wenn man mag - remote arbeiten.
Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert! Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

Excellent, superclean and comfortable accommodation 30 seconds from the village square with very welcoming hosts, was especially nice that fresh bread, delicious cookies and other local products were waiting for us when we arrived.
