    This lodge, which is located in a beautiful WA State Park, is pretty amazing. All of the employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. Every area of the lodge (our Standard King Room, the two bars, public restrooms, restaurant, etc.) was super clean. It's a very well decorated and comfortable place to stay.

    Rooms have no refrigerator, but one at the end of the hall, but not to keep guest items. Temperature in guest rooms is regulated by The Lodge. Front desk told me i can over ride, but room never got above 71 degrees , i believe that was their ceiling. And my husband was sure it was cooler than that. We used the hot shower to heat the room. The grounds and hallways are exquisite, all kinds of art. Bar & restaurant, good food, fitness center & library/play room.

    If you like the idea of hiking in a state park and then staying in this secluded leafy area in a historic building, The Lodge might be for you. We were expecting a more upscale luxury experience. The restaurants and bars were fine, lacking ambience. We did appreciate the valet parking.
