It just got worse the more interaction I had with the staff.
The main reason for such a low review was that there was an attempt to charge my card at 3am from the front desk and nobody knew anything about it.
The manager was cagey and defensive about it and didn’t offer any support. Completely denied that it happened even though my bank confirmed it was from the front desk of this hotel.
Staff were not professional at all about this and I assume there must be some plan to steal money from clients.
The room is nice and big but they use way too much cheap fragrance that makes it impossible to be inside. The one bed wasn’t cleaned properly and smelled like smoke.
Breakfast was low quality for the price and 5 star level and coffee served was burnt.
Very disappointing, avoid!

We had an amazing stay. Staff was frindly and helpful. Great restaurants and bars. The room and view was great.

We came across this hotel while thinking of where to stay in Sofia and the experience was disappointing for a few reasons:
- it was far from everything ; there was a metro station nearby, but still
it felt isolating,
- not many places near the hotel forces you to make certain choices you wouldn’t maybe normally make,
- people smoke inside (already in the hall when you enter (quite an unpleasant feeling for the luxury hotel),
- you find on site that pool & SPA is very expensive per person (despite the fact that the hotel advertises through it a lot) - and not only it’s not included in your stay (neither the parking - like everything besides the stay is optional and expensive) - you’ll find out that there are additional rules and times (where short window) when kids can go with you to the pool & SPA (which in the end, doesn’t make any sense when it comes to value for money).
- in the room, things are a bit unclear when it comes to the room service. It costs additional leva for the room service to bring you an ordered meal to the room (which was communicated to me after I ordered something and I had to cancel the order).
- pricey mini bar (in comparison with other hotels I stayed in)
- leaking shower
- TV wasn’t even close to smart TV with this annoying system that makes it impossible to turn of system notifications so you can enjoy the TV programme without add-ons.
- overall feeling of the place & tidiness in essential places was like okay - but not what I believe one can expect from the 5 star hotel.
