I was in UBC for a week as exchange student.
The room is warm and safe, with full facilities including kitchenware, fridge etc. It makes me feel like home. I can sleep well here.
Just some improvements are that the housekeeping is not very clean enough, also the air-con is bit noisy and cold,and one side of the bed has saggy mattress.

The standard hotel sized room has a full sized kitchen with the right utensils to cope with simple meals. The location at University of British Columbia is excellent- access by Transit buses very simple. Excellent reception service. The nearby museum of anthropology is well worth a look.

Front desk is not easy to find, especially when the plane arrives late at night.
