The room is spacious and comes with a kitchen (including a fridge, dishwasher, and cooking equipment) and a walk-in wardrobe. I liked that I could cook my own food during my stay. The room was clean and well maintained, though not spotless, and I did not encounter any bugs or cockroaches during my stay. It is not new, but also not as old as some other reviews suggested.
The air-conditioning/heater works well, although it is a bit loud. The staff were nice and helpful, and both the check-in and check-out processes were quick.
I had read in some reviews that the elevators can have long waits in the morning, especially around breakfast time, but I did not experience this issue during my stay. I stayed at the hotel around the Thanksgiving holiday.
Breakfast is good, with a wide variety of food, especially hot dishes (where I come from, I’m not used to having cold food for breakfast). The location is good, near the Magnificent Mile.
I have traveled to many countries and stayed in many types of accommodation, from hostels to 5-star hotels. Overall, I think this hotel offers very good value for the price, even if there are a few minor imperfections.
