One of the best small hotels I've stayed at in Spain! I appreciated the clean rooms and the quality bathrooms (well ventilated for steam with a nice tub).

We just stayed at La Posada del Angel in Ojén, a small mountain village near Marbella. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Since parking is a bit away, one of the staff picked us up with a golf cart and drove us and our luggage through the narrow streets to the hotel.
The hotel is beautifully authentic in Spanish style. Breakfast was amazing, served in a courtyard with a lemon tree under the open sky. We got homemade yoghurt with fresh fruit and granola, bread with homemade jams, different meats and cheeses, freshly squeezed juice, and eggs cooked any way we wanted. Everything was brought to our table, which felt so relaxing.
The staff were incredibly friendly and caring. They immediately asked about allergies, and gluten-free options were arranged without problem. One evening we were invited to dinner as one of the staff’s husbands is a chef. We enjoyed a delicious six-course meal in a wonderful atmosphere.
There was no minibar, but a small room with drinks and snacks where we just wrote down what we took, plus a shared kitchen with fridge for guests.
We have travelled a lot, but this was the most authentic and charming hotel we’ve ever stayed at. We even hugged the staff when leaving. Sadly, we forgot to leave a tip for the lady who cleaned our room, and we hope there is a way to transfer some money to her.
If you want a unique and unforgettable experience, you must stay here. We will definitely come back!
