    The first night was a disaster. The hotel has not respected our request for a lower floor, and put us in a tiny, dingy room up four narrow, winding, steep flights of stairs. The.nigjt clerk said there was no other room available. Fortunately, the day clerk ,Omar, was able to put us in a better room, only three flights up. Again, a small room, but bigger than the first, as well as clean and bright. Breakfast was very basic: toast and jams, juice, cold cereals, tea and coffee. Omar made our stay acceptable, but only just.
