We stayed for one night at Alex hotel. Location is 3 minutes walking from Maastricht station so it’s super convenient and close to plenty of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. The room is spacious, super clean and the interior design is amazing. The only downside is that there is no elevator in the hotel and the staircase is narrow and steep, our room was in the third floor, you should be careful with your luggage as it’s difficult specially with large suitcases. I’d stay in this hotel again but with either a carry on or in the first floor.

We stayed one night to attend a graduation. It was a comfortable newly refurbished room with a good bed, excellent shower and bathroom. Good breakfast, but although I asked for no cheese and ham, I got it anyway. My only complaint is that we had three key cards fail. The wood encased key cards are beautiful but not practical, or there is some other problem.

Alex has great location, staff, and rooms. I stayed in a 3rd floor deluxe room with an excellent view. I enjoyed evry single detail of this hotel specially the warm welcoming, help with the luggage, delicious breakfast, and the instant support we got when needed. As a couple, we haven't faced an issue with the stairs but it's important to know that no elevators are available here. Last, I never regret my decision to stay at Alex instead of the 5 stars hotels arround.

Really friendly place. The only drawback was the bar next door blasting music to the early hours. For me it was no problem, but if you are a light sleeper, you might want to consider this. All in all not a bad place to stay.
