I arrived late and had a look at two rooms, then picked the one that smelt the least stuffy and of mould. Whilst understanding the rooms are a bit old, they are not particularly clean. Maybe the staff instead of all being on their phones could be scrubbing the walls in the room and bathroom. After waiting an hour and a half with ants crawling on the bed for the air conditioning to work, I gave up and realised it was still the same temperature as outside. I was moved to another equally smelly, dirty room and when that Air-conditioning didn't really work either gave up. As a novelty, the hotels electricians have made a game of what switch does what. Of the three switches adjacent to the door, one seemed to turn on all the lights and the television. Another turned on or off two lights and the bathroom light. Although the light switch next to bathroom does nothing unless the switch next to front door is on. What was really annoying was waking up and realising that my laptop and phone were flat, as the lightswitch also turned off the powerpoint on the wall. Inconveniently, no outlets next to bed. The girl who was on reception when I checked in was freindly, however guests seemed an inconvenience to coworkers watching instragram of videos on their phones. The hot water for the shower was poor and the shower head jets were blocked and it leaked badly. It's like the bathroom sink is plumbed to the drain, but the water goes straight onto the bathroom floor. A highlight was the large pool that looked reasonably maintained. For $***, I shouldn't have expected too much. Although, a good bit of cleaning, airing out the rooms, sorting out the air-con and stopping staff from using their phones at work would go a long way.

I do pay fairly price for this quality but if they can improve clearness for bathroom and under the bed that will be great.
