About this villa rental
Beautiful holiday villa with private swimming pool located on the hills surrounding Empoli and just 30 km away from Florence.
The villa has been finished to the highest standard and can sleep up to 10/12 guests. Outside there is a large garden housing a generously sized private swimming pool, as well as a welcoming porch and extensive terraces perfect for outdoor living.
The villa is perfectly located within easy reach of the most famous towns of the region such as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa and Lucca. Empoli, which is just 1.8km away, also has a train station with regular connections to the other main cities of Tuscany. A secondary road passes near the property. One part of the house (the one near the entrance to the property and with its own separate entrance) is used as the owner's office.
At guests' disposal: large garden with private swimming pool (12m x 6m, minimum depth: 0,8m; maximum depth: 1,8m, open from the 15th of April until the 15th of October), outdoor shower (cold water), solarium and useful furnished porch (table, armchairs e sofa) accessible from all the lounges of the villa. Wi-fi internet connection (free of charge) and private parking are available. 2 baby cots are available; air conditioning available in the kitchen and in all bedrooms.
Distances: Empoli with shops of any kind and train station 1,8 km away, Florence (airport) 30 km away, San Gimignano 38 km away, Siena 70 km away, Pisa (airport) 60 km away, the beautiful town of Lucca 95 km away. The Tuscan coastline with renowned sandy beaches is around 70 km away.

Excelent Villa, We really enjoyed our stay. The Villa was very clean, the sheets and blankets are new, the dishes and glasses in the kitchen are beautiful. It should have in the kitchen, a scissor and a coffee machine, the Italian coffee machine that was there, was broken. Another point is that all bathroon could have towel dryer. It is important to notice that the owner's office is in a part of the house, but it didn't bother us. And that there are some cameras in the garden. The outside is very beautiful, but we couldn't enjoy it, because it was winter time.

We were six adults and three children who stayed in the villa for a week in June/July. Everything lived up to the high expectations we had from the presentation on the web site. We absolutely loved the garden, the swimming pool, and the pool area. There are many outdoor seating options to choose from, whether you want to stay in the sun or in the shade. We particulary liked the stylish lounge area.
The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped. (The only thing we missed was a whisk.) We prepared most of our meals "at home", and enjoyed them at the dining table in the outdoor kitchen area. The barbecue also worked well.
The airconditioning in the bedrooms and kitchen had more than the capacity needed to keep up with outdoor temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius. (Just had to remember to switch them off while running the dishwasher or washing machine.) The wardrobes in the bedrooms don't have rails or hangers for dresses or shirts. The bedrooms were cool with comfortable beds, and everything in the stylish bathrooms were functioning well.
The nearby secondary road is narrow with limited space for pedestrians. Luckily, there are quiet minor roads and paths running parallel. We enjoyed walking these to reach a couple of the local wineries for tasting. Also, the dry river bed of the Omre river was excellent for jogging.
The owners were easy to reach, always very friendly and helpful. They quickly responded to every request we made, like finding open restaurants on a Monday, or removing wasp nests under construction.
In the absence of a chef to prepare the in-house dinner we had booked, Nora and her daughter stepped in and served a superb four-course home made dinner that we'll never forget. The fried vegetables for the starter were by far the crispiest and lightest we've ever tasted, and the children absolutely loved it.
We definitely recommend staying at Villa Nora, and we hope to come back another time.
