About this cottage rental
***Due to the lake restoration work after Hurricane Helene, we are not able to provide access to the boathouse or dock including kayaks, floats, etc. The lake is not available for swimming or boating at this time. We hope that our beautiful lake will recover as soon as possible. Please follow the town website for updates https://www.townoflakelure.com *** The best of treehouse and lakefront living! Charming Cottage located on beautiful Lake Lure surrounded by trees in a relaxed and peaceful setting. The home is located conveniently near a local supermarket, restaurants, and Chimney Rock State Park. This cozy abode has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Knotty pine-wood walls and ceilings, hardwood floors, and 2 gas fireplaces grace this getaway.
Upon entering, you will find 2 bedrooms: one has a queen-sized bed, the other has a set of log style bunk beds. The bathroom has a tub and shower. The large kitchen has plenty of counter space and is filled with all the amenities, including a Keurig coffee maker. It is open to the living room which features a gas fireplace, and the dining room has a rustic style wood table that can seat up to 8 people. A flat screened television hangs above the mantel and can be viewed from the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Off of the kitchen is an outdoor deck with a gas grill and beautiful views. The lower-level bedroom suite sports a private bath, gas fireplace, TV and sofa.
Beyond the lower suite is a screened porch and a deck with a variety of seating. Walk down the stairs to our large firepit patio (supply your own firewood - buy locally at Ingles Supermarket and elsewhere).
Continue down the stairs to the dock.
**Anyone with mobility or endurance issues should be aware that there are 100 steps down to the dock.

There is ample parking and no steps to the front entrance.

The lake house is an amazing, beautiful spot. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The downstairs bed was very comfortable! The boathouse came with a lot of toys to really maximize this lakefront stay. We stayed in this property the weekend before the hurricane hit. I’m not sure how the hurricane affected the property, but it would be an injustice not to leave a glowing review because we had an amazing stay here!
