The Boathouse:
This cozy little boathouse on the lake is the perfect couples / family getaway with a spacious dock. When you arrive by boat, dock outside (no garage docking) then enter the boathouse through the side door. Follow the stairs to the top and enter the living / kitchen area where you will prepare your meals or just relax and enjoy the tranquility of the lake. When it's time to turn in you will enjoy the comfortable master suite with a queen bed, a small nook to sit and watch the lake, and an attached bathroom. You will also have a queen sleeper sofa in the living area for your extra quests. You will also enjoy a large dock for fishing that features a fire pit and out door seating.
Tenmile Lake is the largest and southernmost of a chain of lakes along the Oregon Coast south of the Umpqua River in the United States. The chain includes North Tenmile, Eel, Clear, and smaller lakes, which drain into the Pacific Ocean via Tenmile Creek. The lake is 8 miles south of Reedsport and 0.5 miles east of U.S. Route 101 near the community of Lakeside.
Tenmile Lake and North Tenmile Lake combined have been called "a premier largemouth bass fishery. In addition to largemouth bass, the shallow dendritic lakes with their complicated shorelines support populations of brown bullhead, bluegill, black crappie, coastal cutthroat trout, and stocked rainbow trout. Bass-catching tournaments are common at these lakes, and experts are able to catch 20 to 50 largemouth a day that weigh 2 to 5 pounds.
The two lakes, connected by the North Lake Canal, are used for boating, waterskiing, and swimming, as well as fishing. In Lakeside, near the outlet of Tenmile Lake, Coos County manages Tenmile Lakes Park. It has boat ramps, docks, a fish-cleaning stand, picnic tables, horseshoe courts, restrooms, and other amenities.

We caught more fish from the boathouse dock than the boat on the lake. Great spot. Easy to get to. Quiet area. Nice little set up with all the amenities.

Overall the stay was pretty good but my wife and I spent the first hour plus cleaning. There was spider webs all over the place. Some we walked into before we knew that were there. There was mouse poop all around the base boards, along the counter tops and on the table. Mouse poop in, yes in the hand towel in the bathroom. So we ran a load of towels. The dishwasher was not working so we had to hand wash dishes so we could eat dinner, and all weekend. The water faucet in the bathroom was broken. Had to manipulate it to turn off/on as well adjust the water temperature.. The dryer had wet and moldy smelling towels in it, we rewashed them so we could shower.
