The hotel was amazing. Beautifully furnished and sympathetically renovated building with so many different sitting and chilling areas. It was luxurious and very comfortable. A real fire with sofas and great ambience welcomes you. A chill out area with picture window in the enormous bedroom and a bed to dream in.
Julian was the absolute perfect host. I arrived late and had to leave at 4am. He got up and made me coffee and baked croissants and saw me out to my car. A real gentleman and went over and beyond to ensure my comfort and safety.
I also left my small wallet there and he has been extremely helpful in getting it back to me.
I travel extensively and the welcome from Julian and the homely comfort of the hotel was exceptional.
I will definitely be staying again.
As I was driving from Monaco to Calais it was a very quick stop for a few hours sleep. I don’t like that I couldn’t stay a week and enjoy the hotel, facilities, and everything offered.
There really is nothing to dislike.

Everything! The rooms are amazing, the location is fantastic, the food and wine list are exceptional. Julien is a superb host and a very talented chef! I’d give it 11/10 !

De zorgzaamheid van de gastheer en de kookkunsten waren erg goed. Het bed lag heerlijk. Ik ben erg kritisch wat betreft bedden met mijn zwakke rug, maar ik heb hier heerlijk kunnen slapen. Ook mijn man was over het bed te spreken.
We kregen elke keer dat we op pad gingen of naar de kamer gingen een flesje water en koffie en thee aangeboden.
We kregen tips voor wat we eventueel konden bezoeken en de gastheer paste zich helemaal aan aan ons plan
Er is niets wat me tegen is gevallen tijdens ons verblijf.
