Apartments by Brøchner Hotels

Friendly staff, free wine was a nice touch (esp with the outdoor tables on warm evenings), great location, good size room and very clean (some Google reviews worried us but we had nothing to worry about), nice views with a little terrace. Good soundproofing when windows were shut. Nice spacious bathroom and lots of towels. Coffee facilities being available was good, the beds were comfortable. We did not hear other guests which might have been because none were near us but we really appreciated the quiet/soundproofing if there were other guests next door. There was a travel cot there without charge. A brilliant place to stay if you don't have a young baby.

Main entrance has a couple of steps up to it which was tricky with a pram and heavy luggage on arrival (doesn't matter once you have a key as there is a step-free entrance around the back). The lift was tiny and there is only one. It meant that we had to take two trips with our baby and luggage on arrival and on a couple of occasions we couldn't use it because the cleaning staff were using it at the same time. One major issue for us with baby was that the curtains did not reach the bottom of the window and our room was south facing. This was a real problem as it meant that the room was completely bright during all daylight hours and directly shining into the room most of the day - which meant our baby couldn't go to sleep in the room and we had to put him in the bathroom for bedtime which we obviously didn't want to have to do (and the reason we booked the bigger apartment in the first place). It was also BOILING in the room; we were very relieved that we didn't book during summer with a baby. There is no air con and one fan (albeit a good one) which we had to use for baby in the bathroom to keep him cool. You couldn't open windows because of the city noise. We also had an issue with the travel cot situation - we were specifically told by the hotel when we messaged before our stay that the travel cot would cost us £100 for the three nights - and confirmed this even when I questioned why it wasn't free. We therefore had to procure one from the UK and lugged it all the way to Denmark, which included a metro journey with a change and a load of walking because we couldn't get a taxi (no car seat for baby). It was unbelievably difficult as it was so heavy and we had a pram and luggage, only to find upon arrival that the cot was in our room and the hotel staff told us it was absolutely free.

The breakfast was sensational, so many foods and drinks to choose from. The complimentary social drinks innthe bar at the evening were a nice surprise

Loved the location, the free happy hour(s), and the staff and amenities were top notch.

The social scene at the hotel is really good, they have wine hour and happy hour and coffee hour... so really brings people together. The staff are truly amazing and as helpful as they can be. The location is great. The room size is great, my kid had a great time running around and sitting on the windowsill. The breakfast was awesome, the staff were very helpful. Very kid-friendly too.

But the room itself was a bit of letdown for us. The utensils were not clean. The bathroom shower got clogged and flooded the bathroom. The cost was not justified.
