The place was great. People were lovely. Good breakfast in the morning. Pool has a great view but it’s a little smaller than we thought. Location is perfect.

Stayed here for a wedding in town in December. Greeted immediately by Guillermo who is a sweet, sassy, older guy. He was very helpful throughout our stay even helping us to find the market and ATM in town. He seemed to know everyone in the neighborhood. Made us feel right at home. There is also a hotel dog named Tequila in which I am not a dog person but she was so chill I didn’t even mind. In other words she was clean, never begged for food and stayed out of your way unless you asked for her to come near you. We also ate breakfast here and the food was actually really good. The coffee was cold but they warmed it after requesting. We also had their green drink each morning. If the older women aren’t making it, don’t buy as the last day it was someone else and the drink was warm and didn’t even have cucumber. It tasted like warm wheat grass.
The property itself is gorgeous. Newer place and the rooms are exceptionally clean with good air conditioning. Our room was a mess (a mess we created) as we got ready for the wedding and we didn’t expect them to clean after we left the night of the wedding. Not only was it cleaned but also somehow organized just so we could find everything when we came back. Which leads me also to the honesty of the staff as we had laptops, iPads and cash laying out and nothing was touched.
The location of this place is unmatched. It is quiet where you are not on the main street but a one minute walk to the main street. We walked to the market daily and ate which took about 7-10 minutes to walk. Extremly safe area and the hotel is very secure. Door code to enter the front gate and to enter the room. It was my first time in Mexico and definitely felt safer than in the US. (Actually never felt unsafe and we were two females).
The were only a few negatives in which I would say the doors to get in the rooms are like glass patio doors that swing open so you have to keep the curtains closed for privacy and if someone walks by you will here everything if they are talking. Would also recommend getting a private taxi in advance if needing to go somewhere as they didn’t have on call taxis. Also, they need a bar as they have tables out on the patio, but the place usually looks like a ghost town even though it was fully booked all the days we were there. Also, there are very few rooms with two beds. Last, there was a younger Mexican guy who we think was the owner and he was a real douche. Saw him talking down to the staff one day and he watched us sit in a wet sit and then said he could switch the chairs after he watched it happen. He showed up at weird times too and never gave helpful solutions, like he seemed to know nothing and was never helpful with anything. If that guy wasn’t there the stay would’ve been perfect.
But would definitely recommend staying here. Guillermo definitely provided the highest in Mexican warmth I think of all the places we stayed in our two weeks traveling through Mexico, but the housekeeping staff and waiter for breakfast were also wonderful. It’s clean, the location is the best and the staff are just wonderful people all around!
