About this apartment rental
Farmhouse complex with 4 beautiful apartments on a hilltop not far from Lucca. The stone farmhouse sits at 600 meters altitude and offers views over the surrounding countryside with chestnut forests, and steep wooded mountains. It is a little paradise from which one can hike all the mountain trails and visit the historical cities of central Tuscany. Gallicano with all facilities is at 10kms, Barga is at 18kms and Lucca is at 50kms. Firenze and the seaside at Forte dei Marmi are an hour’s and half drive away.
This apartment (Capanne 3) is on a lower part of the property, and the entrance can be reached from the garden to the right, following a short path leading to a private terrace. At the end of a small courtyard, one step up is the entrance to the apartment. Since the terrace is built upon a protruding part of the hill, it is protected by a wooden fence. The entrance leads to a large room with a living area and a dining area. Also here we find a comfortable bed couch and a characteristic Tuscan fireplace. The dining area contains a gas-stove, a fridge and an oven. In front of the kitchen, a few steps higher, a door leads to a small courtyard in shape of a horseshoe. To the left of the kitchen, up one step, is a short hallway with door to a single bedroom, and, up one step, at the end of the hallway is a bathroom with washbasin, WC, and shower niche.
To the left of the fireplace, up four steps is a landing from which doors lead to a double bedroom, a single bedroom, and a bathroom and shower. The double bedroom has a glass door to the courtyard. The apartment is very comfortable, welcoming and bright.

Wir haben unseren 10-tägigen Urlaub in Le Capanne sehr genossen. Wir wurden von Daniele und seiner Frau herzlich empfangen. Sie kümmern sich aufmerksam und herzlich aber unaufdringlich um ihre Gäste, und mit viel Herzblut um das wunderschöne Fleckchen Erde - Le Capanne. Das Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt, viele Obstbäume und Bienen freundliche Pflanzen. So viele unterschiedliche Schmetterlinge habe ich noch nie auf einem Lavendelstrauch gesehen.
Die Natursteinhäuser fügen sich superschön in die Landschaft ein. Unsere Ferienwohnung (Nr.3) war etwas abseits und bot mit der Terrasse einen traumhaften Blick etwas mehr Privatsphäre und kühlen Wind an heißen Nachmittagen. Generell finde ich, dass sich die Anlage mit 4 Ferienwohnungen auch für Urlaub mit mehreren befreundeten Familien oder Großfamilien super eignet.
Daniele hat angeboten, uns morgens frisches Landbrot mitzubringen, was wir gerne angenommen haben.
Bei der Ausstattung fehle es an nichts, wir haben aber auch nur einfache Mahlzeiten gekocht und gingen gerne im Umfeld essen. Hier hat Daniele Empfehlungen für seine Gäste bereit gestellt und bei einigen fühlten wir uns wie bei Nonna zu Hause.
Die Kids liebten den Pool und verbrachen die meiste Zeit im Wasser. Der Ausblick vom Pool und der Sonnenterasse ist wirklich atemberaubend. Ich habe es tatsächlich geschafft, zwei! Bücher zu lesen und das soll mit Kindern im Altern von 4 und 11 schon was heißen.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind 20 Minuten Fahrtzeit entfernt. Um zu der Anlage zu kommen, fährt man die Serpentinen hoch, nichts für einen schwachen Magen. Für unsere Kinder würde ich nächstes Mal was gegen Reiseübelkeit einpacken.
Insgesamt sind wir sehr erholt zurückgekehrt. Lieben Dank dafür :)

Wir hatten einen traumhaften Urlaub. Der Pool wurde im letzten Jahr erneuert und die Bilder entsprechen nicht dem aktuellen Stand. Die Kinder konnten sich auf dem Grundstück frei bewegen und hatten einiges zu entdecken. Einzig ein paar kleine ungebetene Gäste, die durch die warmen außen Temperaturen, in die Ferienwohnung kamen haben etwas Unbehagen bei uns ausgelöst. In Summe war es aber ein gelungener Urlaub.

We stayed for only a few days in Le Capanne and enjoyed it al lot. The resort had an incredible view, great pool and is beautifully situated in the hills north of Lucca! Daniele has been really friendly and guided us on arrival to the holiday house on his motorcycle for the last few miles. We definitely recommend staying at Le Capanne on your next trip to Tuscany!
